EG4 6000EX-48HV Caught fire

How cold was it the day it happened? 450VOC sounds like the danger zone to me. If I remember correctly the EG4 version had a higher max voltage than the OEM.
I'm almost certain angle doesn't matter when it comes to voltage.
Are you telling me that the 500 VOC spec that EG4 published was 50 volts over what the manufacture spec stated? I was not aware of that. I was going off the spec sheet that came with the unit.

I just wanted to put this out there and see if anyone else has run into this issue. I installed my EG4 6000EX two years ago and it has worked fine for the past two years. Out of the blue today the power went out and I went to check the breakers, and instead found the EG4 6000EX ON FIRE! I had it mounted on concrete backer board, and I had nothing flammable around it, so the fire was contained to the unit. After I cut all power ( PV, Utility, and Battery ) I waited for the smoke to stop and then removed it from the wall. I have a call into Signature solar and I waiting for a call back from them so that I can get the warranty process started. Signature Solar told me I'm the first customer to report a fire from the EG4 6000EX. Lucky me. I'm just really lucky that I was at home when it happened.

I will be reaching out through DM for more information about this.
