EG4 6000EX-48HV sending power back to grid issue

I was previously sending power back to grid, using the above inverter (yes, i know it's not certified). I then decided to stop, but the inverter refused to save my setting. I also tried to use the app, but at some point it seems they removed the ability to change any settings besides wifi/timezone. Therefore, I decided to update the firmware to see if that would fix whatever prevented the change from taking.

I updated to the latest version of the screen and firmware versions without issue. However, now the option to set the "send power to grid" option is no longer present. It used to be menu option 9 but now the menu skips from 8 to 10.

Does anyone know how to either turn this off, or just restore settings to factory default? (that used to be something you could do in the app but, again, mine no longer has the option to change settings)

The setting was removed with the latest firmware update as the unit is only meant for off-grid use. However, it is possible that EG4 has plans to make the setting available again in the future. If that is the case, they will likely release a new firmware update that will reenable the setting.

How does he turn it off in the meantime though. From what he is saying, his units firmware is locked in the "Send to grid =YES" option so he is looking for a way to get it to stop doing that while EG4 determines what they do with future firmware updates.

Downgrade firmware, flip option off, upgrade firmware?
...Maybe...

Sorry, I misunderstood. It might be best to try and reflash the firmware. If that doesn't work, send an email to tech@signaturesolar.com so they can get a look at everything in detail.

Sorry for the late reply. I didn't see the replies until now. I contacted signature solar and they sent me a replacement inverter. Thanks for the advice.
