Hello All,

My first post here. How many batteries can be connected to EG4 6000xp? I can't find the clear answer. 3x 100AH or 2x200AH?

If you are using closed loop, most BMSes have a limit of 16 batteries (4bit switch), with the battery sizes typically being 48v/100ah or 48v/~300ah. Beyond that it is simply a matter of getting a large enough busbars to connect the inverter and batteries to.

Agree with the above. If you need more than 16 batteries, you probably aren't going to buy the 6000XP.

And it sounds like there's more to your question. Details help others give good advice.

Fully off-grid in Maine as well... Nearest power line is about a mile away.... system not nearly as ideal as yours though.. work in progress... :)
First, try to avoid placing batteries in series, as it's tough to keep them balanced. So, use 48V batteries in parallel.

Next, I am personally a fan of EG4 wall mount batteries but rack batteries also work well. The big thing to think about is how to combine individual batteries in parallel for connection to the 6000XP. For this, the bus bar is your friend.

Finally, if you have a proposed design, many here can try to help but it's tough if you just piecemeal out information. A good retailer is also helpful.
