Any time I set the bulk charge setting above 58.4 volts The inverter surge at least 1 volt and it makes the generator hunt continuously. This is also the case when only on solar. What's up with that!
First what is THD? Battery voltage is at 58.4 and bulk charging. When sun is shining I have enough solar to smoke my 48kwh battery. And the inverter surges that same way above setting 58.4v. On one or the other input. Only recently started using the gen. Don't ask me what the voltage is once set above 58.5 cause it is surging at least 1 volt up and down. up down up down up down. Besides I need more that the limit of 59 volts to do Equalizing on lead acid batteries what gives on that setting limit, EG4?
Why are you setting it so high, there is no need to.Any time I set the bulk charge setting above 58.4 volts The inverter surge at least 1 volt and it makes the generator hunt continuously. This is also the case when only on solar. What's up with that!
kwell I dont know what my THD is and why would that matter when the inverter surges with just solar anyways. and why would i set it so high is because it needs to run even higher when it equalizes my LEAD ACID batteries.
Thank God you are quatro head.....at least you have three not bitten off......Why are you setting it so high, there is no need to.
Where have they been??
Busy?Where have they been??
preemptive based on simple load calcs is much simpler that doing a slightly more complicated when temp is above this turn fan up.It does seem pretty-emptive though, as soon as the Sun comes out the fans spool up.
Just a suggestion, hope you figure it out.WPNS, Ya No it would still be steady charging just at a volt off. and my fans are going higher with the volt/ amps going up and down. Just like they are supposed to do. What is happening is the volts don't stay steady. They surge by about a volt almost faster than my voltmeter can keep up.
This sounds terrible~ Any word from EG4?The surging is because these inverters literally over run the voltage settings at higher lead acid settings. When charging battery, it will go above what the inverter high voltage operating specs are and do a hard charging shut down and then upon returning to as low as 51volts ramp back up to shut down voltage and repeat. Very bad inverters for Lead acid batteries. I know this because I have the paired inverter in the off EPS mode actually turns off and on while the battery charges with both inverters and the voltmeter goes up above 60 volts and the green light goes out when it hits 60volts. I wonder if this is happening to you Lithium owners and you just don't know it?
