New system - EG4-6000xp inverter with the EG4 vertical battery - DIY install. Making progress on understanding the UI interface. I can charge the battery with a schedule in the MAINT/Working mode setting - but so far the quick charge function on the MONITOR page does nothing. Is there something obvious I'm missing? Completely un-related but the time is off and won't stick. I'm in the EST timezone - have picked GMT-5 - I've touched the 3 places that I've read you needed to touch - put in the correct time in the MAINT page - click set - do a READ - brings back the correct time - do a 2nd read - it brings back the GMT time (5 hours later). I've read in this forum this is a bug or has been a bug but it very annoying. I can make my schedules work by using GMT time but it a hassle.

Thanks for any suggestions.

Quick charge just toggles AC Charge for a period of one hour.
Your AC Charge settings must be appropriate for that to work.

Do you have grid or a generator connected?

If your system has an inverter, check if it's preventing charging due to load priorities

not sure what your problem is , but i can say that it does work . if the weather is bad i hit quick charge on my phone no problem and it charges for a hour .
is the eps button on the left side in the on position ?

Always good to export your settings in the Maintenance tab and attach it to get help from others unless you have help from where you purchased the inverter or from EG4 directly.

Thanks...I'm still digging at the moment. I did find a youtube vid that talked about how to make the start charge button work - so far has not worked for me but I'm not sure how useful that is in reality. Does anyone else find the android app very limited compared to the web interface?

Thanks

See if your Maitenance tab in the phone app looks like this after hitting Start Quick Charge. Make sure you have a non zero value in the A Charge Battery Current(A) cell and click on Set. If AC Charge Based On is set to Time or another setting, try changing it to Disable and hit Set. The try the quick charge again.

Thanks - I'll look at that. I think your screen capture may be from an apple device - I'm using android and I don't have a maintence tab (the web interface does have that). But I found the screen you shown under LOCAL SET listed as CHARGE SETTING. And that's another question if you know - my android app - using wifi - has very little information using the app - it shows the graphic - and little else compared to what I see under bluetooth. Is this normal?

Would have been helpful if I actually mentioned what I had - duh. It's the EG4 6000XP inverter. No generator - just grid. No PV at this time - but will in the next couple of weeks.
Ensure that the third time slot for AC Charge is empty, if anything is set there, and then try again. The Quick Charge function should operate by charging the batteries while simultaneously powering the loads.

If the issue persists, please let us know and provide your inverter's serial number so we can look further into this.

We are also currently experiencing issues with setting the time through the monitoring website and app. However, our team is actively working to resolve this as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

I think that will probably turn out to be the issue. I've not had time to actually test it. Thanks for your help on it..
