Looking at EG4 6K Off-Grid Split Phase Inverter | 6000EX-48HV. I need to have the unit with AC input as backup with Solar as the priority. Does this unit only take 220V AC input or can it take 120V AC input (regular house hold outlet) ?

SS has EG4 with single or split phase, so if you want single then buy that one depending on your output needs.

I am considering your EG4 6K Off-Grid Split Phase Inverter | 6000EX-48HV
as a 240vac split phase backup system (from just one All In One unit) for my girlfriend's house; ...that would initially have a 48v LiFePO4 Battery Bank, but NO Solar (till later). Just emailed these Questions to Signature Solar:

When 6000EX-48HV is configured for 240vac USA Split Phase Output;
How can I charge the connected 48v battery bank with my 2000 Watt Inverter Generator that only puts out 120vac?
(I figured out Input has to equal configured output on my 4 x MPP LV2424s configured for 240vac output/ awhile back )

Thinking the 6000EX-48HV unit will only take 240vac input from grid or a 240vac inverter generator for charging the battery without solar, ... when configured for 240vac USA split phase Output ???

What are my Options for a battery charge from just a 120vac?

Could I briefly reconfigure 6000EX-48HV from 240vac Output back to 120vac Output to use it's internal 120vac powered battery charger ??? (likely doable, ... but a bit of a hassle)
... or will I have to also buy an EG4 Chargeverter | 48v 100A Battery Charger
(& adapt for 120vac)
... for Charging my connected 48v Battery Bank via just a 120vac Inverter Generator
... with NO Solar yet connected???

I really wished the manufacture saw this post, and figured out how to Allow easy 120vac Input for a Battery Charge Cycle from the internal battery charger of of the All In One, when they are configured for 240ac split phase Output. Please Give Us MAX Options for our DIY Back Up Options. ... My Two Cents

Have any link for examples of the autotransformer ? if so, I am interested :+)

Thanks ... My Thoughts / That Vicron looks Nice, ... yet ... for the price ... while I am focusing on one Eg4 3000 ehv-48 (120vac output) for my girlfriend's home backup for no grid situations; ... I would just go for a second Eg4 3000 ehv-48 to get the 240vac split phase. I am pretty sure any 240vac Output Network of any 2 All In Ones ... will need a 240vac Inverter Generator to use (one or both of) the All In One's internal AC powered Battery Chargers for a Grid Only Battery Charge Cycle. I wish somebody would do a manufacture's update for more DIY 120vac charge options. I think if I really needed a quick 120vac sourced battery charge cycle option, ... that EV4 Chargeverter (think it $400) Looks Attractive for 240vac or 120vac charge cycles. ... This forum plus Will's Youtube Clips are helping me fine tune my plans for that next system. ..Thanks :+)
