Looking for EG4 ChargeVerter in stock. They seem to be backordered at all the usual places.

Thanks!

States available next month. Wouldn’t hurt to reach out to them.
Ha. Thanks. The ChargeVerter is the only thing missing from the pallet of stuff I have coming from CC this week. Yeah, they told me next month with the option to cancel if I could find it elsewhere. I guess i'll just wait. Thanks.

Got one here last week.

You got the last one! I called yesterday afternoon.

At least we have the new 120V power cords!

This explains why the Chargeverter works with the Pro Power system of the F150 PowerBoost or Lightning ( Neutral-Ground bonded systems ) without throwing the annoying "Ground Fault" error. I created a pigtail similar to the Chargverter cable ( ground disconnected ) to allow my truck to power my standard transfer switch. Looking forward to my Chargeverter when it arrives next month - hopefully.

I have the older style chargeverter. Using the PPO from my power boost works fine using the L14-30 plug and was able to charge full power. Not sure what all is different between the old and new style chargeverters.

There are three difference (four if you count the display).
1) The CV-GC (new one) has a set of "Dry Contacts" for controlling among other things an automatic generator start.
2) The CV-GC ( new one) has an RS485 Input for monitoring SOC from the "Master" BMS and will control the "Dry Contacts" on the CV-GC when the Master BMS reported SOC falls below the CV-GC setpoint.
3) The CV-GC ( new one), in the absence of the the SOC/RS485 input, control the "Dry Contacts" based on the Battery Voltage Start and Stop setpoints.

The CV-GC was designed to be plugged into a generator (normally off/not running). When the SOC Start (with RS485 input) or Battery Start voltage falls below the setpoint would then via the dry contacts the CV-GC starts the generator. The CV-GC, now with input AC power will start charging the batteries. Once the batteries reach the SOC or Battery Stop setpoint the CV-GC would then via the dry contacts shut down the generator thus stopping the charge and removing AC input power to the CV-GC. The CV-GC must see the AC input go away before it will repeat the process.

Mines being shipped and I don’t even own batteries or solar right now. FOMO got me since I didn’t want to pay the new price. I should’ve bought the 120v cord too.

We just found out that the latest shipment only came with one of two mounting brackets for attaching the unit to the wall. We are briefly marking them out of stock until we can get more brackets from EG4, but if you want one without the second bracket just reach out to our sales team.

Once we get the brackets in, we will get them shipped out ASAP. Many apologies for the trouble and inconvenience!

Ok. So are the people with chargverters already shipped going to receive the missing bracket?

Never seen a product so ripe for a half price knock off. Probably even made in the states.
Don’t even need all the EG4 communication features.

They are kinda useless, given how poorly they are implemented.
Much room for another product in this space with better specs, more features, lower price.

Don’t get me wrong, I have two CVGC and they are fine but can’t use (can anyone use?) all the features. The ramp is nice. 🤷‍♂️

I wish they supported other RS485 protocols. The fact that its only EG4 is crap.

I wish they could work as a Modbus slave. And the Dry Contacts were better. And the display were more accurate. And I didn’t have to have AC contactors on the inputs and Hall Effect sensors on the outputs to detect 1/2 power output.

But here we are.
