I was trying out my generator with the EG4 Chargeverter 5k, second version. My generator has a running watt of 9500 and a 30am 240v 14-30 connector. I checked my extension cord and I get 120v on both legs and 240v across. My chargeverter is just reading the battery voltage as I didn’t switch the cable from my AIO to the chargeverter to get SOC. WhenI was trying to charge the batteries, the chargeverter would get up past 34amps. I checked the back of the unit and I have both lights on. I have two EG4 LLS batteries and 2 Lifepower v2 batteries in an EG4 rack.

I’m not sure why it wouldn’t go above 34amps. I tried it twice, the second time was after disconnecting and confirming that the extension cord was indeed providing 120v on each leg. I tried adjusting the output amps and the chargeverter will restart as it should by dropping the voltage down and slowing increasing, it just doesn’t go above 34amps no matter how high I set the output.

It was last weekend but I believe the battery voltage was around 51v and I set it to stop at 54v if memory is working.

It's only going to provide enough current to reach the set voltage, and hold it there.
If you raise the voltage setting, it should provide more current.

I had also turned off my solar to make sure only the chargeverter was supplying current back to the batteries. Again this was a test for my gen and also first test of the chargeverter.

So it appears that I only had the charging voltage set to 54v. I increased it to 57v and I was able to get the amps up to 94a on the output. Appreciate your time answering.
