Eg4 inverter future

The
The EG4 6000XP [teaser] has the same looks as the other Lux hybrid inverters. And the 'XP' suggests they are rebranding the LXP series (vs. SNA). I guess we'll find out soon enough. Maybe.

The image eg4 posted on Facebook is the luxpower sna 6k. This is from luxpowertek website

Most of those manuals are copy and paste. The reason the 18K is different is because signature solar makes their own manuals.

Pretty sure you can find the same format manual for the 18K somewhere. What does the fortress envy manual look like
It’s not the same product line. The 18k is an LXP and the 6k is an SNA
I would expect manuals for different products to be different
There’s also far more difference than just the manual.
I’m not here to accuse it of being a voltronics. Just that is is in no way an LXP build quality at 1/3 the weight

Edit: usually when one copy and pastes, it’s from internal documents not a competitor. It is odd that the SNA version manual mirrors many other budget Chinese inverters.

Here is the only reference to the fortress battery cable sizing in fortress manual, ‘kinda’ like EG4 18kPV. What I noted previously for this new 6k seems identical to Voltronic but trust your input, @Will Prowse

Who's to say voltronics did not copy a luxpower manual?
There is nothing original that comes out of China, it is all copied from somewhere and made cheaper and faster.
Did voltronics make a Time Machine that we don’t know about?

Will their be an “upgrade path” to this, for people in the last 90-120 days that purchased inverters that you are discontinuing James?

How about a bad mouth discount? For those who do nothing but complain. I feel I should be entitled to one of those.
Hey I only asked because they offered an upgrade path for 6500 users to the 18kpv
There was a post this morning in the signature Solar Facebook group that just bought a 6000ex. That inverter is no longer offered new on their site. It was a month ago.
They know its problematic, but they still sold it.

None of it affects me personally, I’m just stirring the pot

I think the biggest question I have is, can this unit ac couple? If so it could be a contender, if not it would join the fold with many other units with similar capabilities in that price range.

We wait and see
