EG4 Powerpro vs Ruixu lithi2-16

Keep going back and forth on these. I’m trying to setup an all outdoor battery system in Houston, Texas with 3-4 of these batteries and an 18kPv. Really want to max my capacity due to long blackouts.

EG4’s holiday sale brings the total of 3x powerpro all weathers (42.9kW total) to $9835 after tax and shipping.

Ruixu’s pricing is 3x lithi2-16 for $10197. What’s weird here is they don’t seem to charge sales tax at all? Does anybody know what’s up with that?

Ruixu is a better value assuming the tax thing is right- which feels suspicious to me. But idk if EG4’s compatibility and quality is superior.

Please let me know your thoughts!

Bubby, not sure where you stand on this but I am also in the Houston area (Richmond Texas) and purchased two Ruixu Lithi2 batteries to go with an NHX-12K inverter that I got from watts247.com The batteries I purchased from shopsolar.com.... both the inverter and batteries were tax free for me from those two companies. The batteries also included free shipping and I used a $101 coupon on each one.... $3125 for one of them (Black Friday) and $3198 for the second one using the $101 coupon with free shipping and no tax.

I also considered the EG4's but I needed an outdoor rated battery (which eliminated the indoor model). The Ruixu Lithi2 that when modified by removing the wheels fit perfectly in my very limited space. It checked all the boxes of fitment, price (no tax, free shipping), larger capacity, outdoor rating and using the same quick connect cables as the EG4... I decided to go with the Ruixu Lithi2's. In the future I will purchase 2 more, as I continue to build out the system.

The Lithi2's are perfect for what I was looking for... and practically plug and play for my system. Connecting and communicating the the NHX-12K was a breeze. Considering this is my first 48v solar system, I appreciate the easy connections and communication of the Ruixu batteries. I am also using a Victron Lynx Power In 1000a bus bar to connect all the batteries together with zero modifications of the cable. The bolt into the bus bar and click onto the battery. So that was also easy.

Here is a pic of when I added the second battery a week and a half ago. My system is still being built so it's not complete yet. Note, I added a small AC for our brutal Texas summers to help keep the equipment nice and cool for longer life.

What is the status of your system build now?

Good luck Bubby!

who makes that NHX-12K inverter for WATTS247? See it has their sticker on it, but it is a Deye, or ?

Amensolar.

Watts247 imports them, tweaks some images and branding, and sells them, but they are functionally unchanged from the OEM.

Amensolar split phase line appears to be derived from Megarevo inverters since they share the same basic features, specs, layout, and protocols. Whether this is an official arrangement or a knock off is unknown to me.
