I find Elon Musk fascinating to observe. He’s unarguably very successful, yet often seems to act in quite foolish and uniformed ways.

He’s tweeted or retweeted stuff which is easily debunked, so he doesn’t seem to fact check anything before boosting it to his followers, and I wonder if that’s just down to the speed he moves at or if he’s happy to spread misinformation because it suits whatever his objective at the time might be.

What’s your view of Musk? Is he a genius, executing his plan in a way mere mortals like me won’t understand? Or is he a disastrous fool who got rich from other people’s labor and will lose it all soon enough, once his mistakes catch up with him?

Or somewhere in between? He’s entertaining to watch at least!

This will depend on who you choose to believe.

He is a progressive that I respect.
Or somewhere in between? He’s entertaining to watch at least!
Forward moving/thinking and yet realistic.

Which is better Musk or Gates? Which one is the super villian?

Both equally bad.
Good Cop vs Bad Cop

Gates wants to control you via vaxx and food you eat by financing "vaxx tech" and "food tech" and by financing all things "Digital ID"
Musk enables this control by financing the "tech" behind it. (one "X" app, carbon credits, "green tech/energy rationing", "chip you", "Digital ID", "I am the savior of free speech/figher for white man" BS narrative to lure you in)

Elon Musk is definitely no fan of free speech. He talks a decent game but his actions are 180 out. Like a politician he knows that people mostly respond to what he says, not what he does. He's done a real disservice to the libertarian/conservative/independent crowd in the process since he has neutralized their "free speech" voices in many cases. Gave them a bit of access on Twitter and like mainstream media, they fell right in line. His shadow banning is completely out of control. Far worse than Twitter 1.0.

He voted for Hillary Obama, and Biden and now is branding himself as a conservative-ish. Like those he works for, he glides back and forth through professed views while he works for the uniparty establishment. He will prove to be one of the most disastrous architects against our nation, while tweeting the opposite of what he's actually doing.

To those who still think Musk is the savior of free speech

Elon Musk’s Love Affair With mRNA

Another ringing endorsement of mRNA technology by Elon Musk has again left some of his fans dismayed and perplexed.

Synthetic mRNA is basically digital medicine with incredible potential
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) May 8, 2024

But what most people will not know and what raises issues about whether he should not in fact recuse himself from such discussions or at least provide appropriate disclosure, is that Musk is himself part of the mRNA project and has a direct commercial stake in it.

More precisely, Musk is a partner in Germany’s mRNA project, since Tesla has a partnership with the German mRNA company CureVac to produce so-called ‘RNA printers’: an automated system for manufacturing mRNA and mRNA-based drugs. The patent application for the machines was jointly filed by CureVac and Tesla’s German subsidiary Tesla Grohmann Automation, as can be seen here.

CureVac is Germany’s ‘other’ mRNA company. Like BioNTech, whose COVID-19 vaccine has been marketed by Pfizer in most of the world, and the two German companies’ American rival Moderna, CureVac was also in the running to produce a COVID-19 vaccine, but its vaccine candidate did not obtain authorisation.

Whereas the German Government has sponsored both of the German companies, it went beyond mere sponsorship of CureVac in mid-June 2020 and took a direct ownership stake in the company, acquiring nearly a quarter of its shares for €300 million. This means that as CureVac’s partner,
Elon Musk’s Tesla is in fact a direct commercial partner of the German Government, which, as touched upon here and here, has made mRNA manufacturing into a cornerstone of its industrial policy.

Just two weeks after the German Government acquired its stake in CureVac, Musk announced the (preexisting) Tesla-CureVac partnership on Twitter, noting that Tesla would be able to build the ‘RNA printers’, or what he called the “RNA microfactories”, not just for CureVac, but also “possibly for others”.

Tesla, as a side project, is building RNA microfactories for CureVac & possibly others
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) July 2, 2020

In March 2022, CureVac announced that it was indeed creating a fully-owned subsidiary, CureVac RNA Printer GmbH, to build the machines not just for its own purposes but also potentially for other manufacturers.

Two months after announcing his partnership with CureVac, in early September 2020, Musk then turned up in Berlin in the very midst of the declared COVID-19 pandemic to tout the mRNA machines. The below video shows him struggling to explain how the machines work to a group of somewhat befuddled-looking German parliamentarians from Angela Merkel’s then ruling Christian Democratic party.

— CureVac (@CureVacRNA) September 3, 2020

Two weeks after that, the German Government announced that it was tossing another €230 million at CureVac: this time not as investment, but as pure subsidies in support of its COVID-19 vaccine programme. BioNTech received €375 million.

So, is it possible to talk about Elon Musk’s involvement in Germany’s mRNA project on his social media platform X? Well, of course. X is, after all, a ‘free speech platform’. Perish the thought that any sort of censorship might take place on it. But, judging by my own previous experience, while we are perfectly free to talk about it, if we have anything critical to say, we are only free to talk about it in a void.

Thus, Elon Musk first flagged his support for what he enthusiastically styled the mRNA “revolution” in April 2023, admitting that the dose in the Covid vaccines had been too high, but expressing confidence that synthetic mRNA would be “the surest path to curing cancer”.
This will make some people upset, but I need to emphasize that accelerating synthetic mRNA technology was another silver lining. It is a revolution in medicine, like going from analog to digital.

The Covid mRNA vaccine dosage level was too high and having a zillion booster shots…
— Elon Musk (@elonmusk) April 12, 2023

In response, I noted that his tweet amounted to shilling for BioNTech. After all, the mRNA dose in the BioNTech vaccine was less than one-third of that in the Moderna vaccine and, furthermore, curing cancer had been BioNTech’s ambition from the start. Before Covid, BioNTech was a cancer treatment company. Unlike Moderna, it had had almost no experience in infectious diseases. Curiously, however, none of the trials of its cancer drugs had ever got very far.

In light of research which has uncovered oncogenic properties of synthetic mRNA, I recently wondered whether this was because its drugs were in fact found to be promoting cancer rather than ‘curing’ it.
Be that as it may, my critical reply-thread, which also pointed to Musk’s conflict-of-interest in light of the ‘RNA printer’ partnership, was torn apart and rendered invisible by the X algorithm, as can be seen below.

Well, this is interesting. Try clicking on below tweet and see what you get. It is supposed to be a reply

Which just goes to show that “freedom of speech is not freedom of reach”.

I'm not going to get involved in a detailed discussion of the pro's and con's of Elon Musk except to say I think the weight goes WAY in the Pro direction. Nobody is all one or the other.

I just listened to the live chat between Musk and Trump hosted on X ..... For anyone who really wants to know what Musk is about, find the entire recording of that Chat and listen to the rare common sense of a genius. Don't listen to the little snippets people will try to post to support their view.
Look and listen for your self and don't listen to the people who think they have an all knowing crystal ball ..... who's agenda is not what they pretend.
Look to the source and trust your own ability to know the truth when you see it ..... When what you see with your own eyes doesn't line up with what some are trying to intimate ....... ask yourself why that might be.

When you make accusations, why don't you back them up with evidence?

More importantly, what "misinformation" did he spread.

Provide specific examples or just go away.

I remember when people were rightfully up in arms about our costly blunders in the Middle East, the lies told to invade Iraq, and the neo-con extravaganza during the GWB years. Then Obama said all the right things, got elected, and continued with the same policies and then some. But the anti-war left was silenced and later morphed into twins of the neo-cons.

That same capture is what Elon did to those who care about free speech and a public square. Most of the popular voices out there that built platforms on the importance of free speech online suddenly became mute when he banned Ye for sharing a religious symbol, or banned and threatened to sue a kid for sharing public info about his jet location and on and on and on. Tons of examples of Elon banning people and not reinstating previously banned accounts like he said he would do. Now he simply shadow bans people through his WEF CEO.

People are so easily duped when the Left/Right puppet show is played for them. Two puppets, one puppet master with two hands.

The Internet will prove to be the most tyrannical invention in human history and Elon will be a large part of its implementation. He already has been. Cars that are great and also are massive spy devices showing your location and video of your whereabouts (remember the Tesla employees that got caught watching people nude near their cars)....and cars that can be controlled by others without your knowledge. Satellite Internet that is great, but that analyzes your online activity while looking at your actual location from above with persistent monitoring rather than cell towers trying to triangulate your location. Twitter where those with unapproved views and no audience that can be monetized think they are participating in a public square but are really writing a Dear Diary to the Deep State since nobody else sees it (freedom of speech not freedom of reach). And if people ever start putting his brain implant in their noggins, well...

But he says some good stuff, like all politicians who mean to fleece you do because he knows that most people only pay attention what people say....and not what they do.

He showed promise.

However, I want to make it clear that even though I support and defend certain characters that doesn't we have "bought in" deep.

It may only be 1 or 2 policies I like. I never look at any given person as a savior or anything like that.

Any "saving" has to come from the bottom up. It will not come from the top down via politicians.

Any "saving" has to come from the bottom up. It will not come from the top down via politicians.

I completely agree. But politicians and corporation are fused together as they have been since the very beginning in our nation, but more tightly now (remember the Massachusetts Bay Company). The mechanisms of subjugation are everywhere these days. Imagine how difficult it will be for such salvation energy to come from the bottom when that bottom can't even communicate online where mass communication occurs and instead is shown favored viewpoints and bot views manufacturing consent, and if they are somehow able to communicate and wish to protest and show their displeasure they are monitored and geo-fenced from being able to drive to certain locations or investigated if they did drive to a certain location (as happened to J6 protestors with the help of VISA and cell phone companies). Or lose their ability to bank or access funds or use a credit card or raise money.

Most of us on this forum love technology I would imagine. But that technology is rarely our friend these days. And the modern day Robber Barons (like Elon and Thiel) do a great deal of PR work to present an image, but they are also polishing up a tech infrastructure that will be the last chapter in western history I fear. While our Founders envisioned the 2A to ensure parity between the People and the ruling class, the weapons of subjugation are so far advanced, in our cars, pockets, houses (and soon perhaps brains) that I have little hope for salvation up or down.

I'm just glad I'm old and don't have kids. The future is not going to be a fun one. And Elon is not our friend. But anyway, I've posted enough and am repeating myself so I'll bow out for others with a different view to chime in and hopefully convince me that I'm in error with my pessimistic outlook.

Yes, he was in rare form, and excellent tonight.

If you really want to see what he's about, find a way to watch this:

Hint: None of his accomplishments were easy or by accident. All of them were ambitious. And he brute forced them all when they all were about to fall short or fail. And all of them (so far) have massively bettered humanity as a whole.

I couldn't do it. I wouldn't do it. He is sacrificing his whole life to make the world better. I want to have fun and enjoy my life. My family, wife, kids, and friends. He's worked non-stop for decades. Sure he's got a billion dollars, but you can't buy time or youth (unless you're magic johnson that used to have aids but somehow doesn't now).

Simply put excellent response. Use your brain and gut then decide......

Here we go again. People are getting excited about Words, Words strung together by professional speech writers, designed to be spoken, by professional liars, to target people who desperately want to be excited by Words. The ultra-corrupt political machines in place, entrenched for decades, changing incrementally, only, when their most rotten-with-age members die off, to be replaced with the brighter, younger, even more corrupt generations, trickling in to complete their near-total stranglehold on the Future, must find it all terribly amusing as more wealth, and more power, flows, inevitably, their way. All for the low, low price of Words.

That will only work for a short period as tyrranical politicians are replaced with other tyrranical politicians.
Remember politicians were placed by the "self proclaimed elites" just for that purpose.
If you want to really change things we gotta start doing inconvinent but necessery things at our level. The proverbial "only winning move is not to play"
(Refusing vaxx is just one tiny example)

Looks like you pretty much nailed it... He could just be a deluded puppet used by the alphabet soup people? It's like no matter who or what you are for or against they are all on the same train bound for hell. I don't have a dog in the fight but am sitting on the sidelines observing the games. Can't wait for the grand finale when the fat lady sings. It ain't over till she does. Is that her I hear warming up backstage now? ;)

I like to tell folks consider Poncho Via who 8 years after conquering the elite oligarchy in Mexico was shot down by one of his own compatriots in the street. Problem with those evil rulers is once eradicated, we always replace them with another human being who just repeats the process over and over and over...... That's all mankind is capable of

Break i

Careful as this is what the Left wants to happen, then they can justify draconian intervention.........
They have been doing that since biden got in.

It is just a meme. Nobody has the stones to try it.
