If you can't bug in and stay where you are and hopefully have a good deal of situational awareness / connections / preparedness etc. Then why are you where you are? No amount of dollars or familiar ties would be worth living in a place you don't feel comfortable (which comes from who you are, not where you are).
Don't use not having a big bank account as an excuse, because I can tell you personally it's not needed.
So bust a move now, cause if you wait till you feel you must, FEMA camp is the only option you will have, we and many others will not be looking for "NEW" neighbors in a time like that.
PS good luck with your travel plans in a day when travel is restricted / prohibited...

And even if you have a destination, good luck getting there.

And if you actually do get there, pray someone didn't beat you there and is currently occupying your stuff.

An empty cabin in the woods is a desirable thing if shit gets weird. Just because it's not theirs doesn't mean they won't take it. And what are you gonna do, call the cops? That won't be a thing. Shoot them? They've got the advantage.

You had better be comfortable where you are when things get weird because it's the best chance you have of staying alive.

Unless you live in New York, it is your first instinct to get out and go to Florida the land of the free like your neighbors and local businesses have already done so. And bring your screwed up socialist ideas "word salad" and try to convert the natives to your commie NY ways. That is why FL is armed to the teeth. We just take the NYers stuff and feed them to the alligators and sharks. If you get asked "Do you want to go fishing?" Start to worry....

As @Skypower said, "EMP" rating on an inverter might say something about how well built it is, or how reliable or resistant to normal surges it is, but as an actual advantage in the event of the collapse of civilization, it's going to be marginal at best. Let's see if we can't keep civilization (note the word civil in there?) chugging along as long as possible, shall we?

Since Fauci Flu it is INSANE down here. The housing market has reached a point that the younger people will never own their first home in FL. Insurance trying to cash in on the higher prices and raised to a point that many people don't have insurance because they don't have a mortgage. When someone sells their shack in NY and gets $600K they come down here and see a big house for $400K and drive the price up by buying 40% over asking price.

Then they try to turn it into little NY... WTF!

That same problem exist all over, and actually has been going on for many years. The difference I see is the vast number doing it and continuing since the jab and every election year people run somewhere they feel safer now days.
