I just purchased two EP4 6000XP with the 14.3kwh indoor battery, my questions I am wanting to purchase a generator that will be compatible with the 2 wire contact auto start feature on EP4 6000xp, can you make any recommendations, I would like a inverter generator that is above 12kh and supports multi fuel?

Technically you need 2-wire start generator. NOT Remote Start.

Most 2-wire start are hardwired whole house generators. Single fuel (natural gas or propane).

There is a new Genmax portable generator that has two wire start. Thinking about getting this myself.

Any generator brand that offers a transfer switch has the two wire start feature. Your inverter is your transfer switch so do not buy the ATS from the generator dealer.

$4,700. Inverter generator, so you don't need a chargeverter to clean up the power. 308#
No, you don’t need a chargeverter. I’m currently using Champion 6000 inverter generator I bought on Amazon deal for $250 and added a motor snorkel with my 6000xp. Works great but no 2 wire and pull start only.

I second that. I have an 8000 watt diesel genset that works perfectly on my 6000XP. I paid $2000 for it NEW. I set the charge limit to 50 amps (DC) leaving plenty of room to carry the house.

Save the money on the big Gen and invest it in a smaller inverter Gen, it will be better and save you a lot of gas in the long run. If you use the new Gen boost feature of the EG4 and have a battery as buffer power to run the house you really don’t need a big Gen, because it is mostly going to be used to charge the battery, not to run your loads, even a 240v 5kW Gen would do, but I do recommend an inverter generator because my 6000xp continuously drops out when it doesn’t like the swings in frequency and voltage that the inrush power causes on the governor of the non inverter Gens (dirty power) unless I use a Chargeverter like mentioned before in a comment.

Off topic, but I'm just turning up my 6000XP system (single unit) with 1 EG4 indoor battery. SInce I'm not sure a single 6000xp will provide enough power, I'm wondering how it's working out using the one battery with two inverters? Any issues that you've encountered? Thanks.

Do you happen to know the harmonic distortion on that? I bought a 12000 watt aipower generator here in CR that works great but spec says it has "standard" harmonic distortion of 15% which I understand is too high for the 6000.
