Hi, Can anybody explain to me the logic my Tracer 8420AN uses to enter into boost charge. I have the boost reconnect voltage set to 24.4v (i'm running agm batteries). I understand that the controller should enter boost charge when the batteries run down to 24.4v but this is not immediately the case (e.g when pulling power from the batteries with my inverter). So, my question is, does the voltage have to sit at 24.4v or under for a set period of time before the controller enters into boost again?

Are you using "User-defined" battery parameters?

The following rule must be observed when modifying the parameters value in user battery
type (factory default value is the same as sealed type):
A. Over Voltage Disconnect Voltage > Charging Limit Voltage ≥ Equalize Charging Voltage ≥
Boost Charging Voltage ≥ Float Charging Voltage > Boost Reconnect Charging Voltage

Thanks Mopat, I've adjusted the settings to see how i get on
