Epoch V1 with V2 460ah marine

Hi all!,
I have had an Epoch 460ah marine battery in my 5th wheel since December 2024.
I am wanting to increase my system and add monitoring (Victron) devices.
My issue is that the V1 460’s are no longer available and the V2 460’s:
1. Have a different BMS
2. Do not communicate with each other.
3. Have different charging parameters.
So, does has anyone ran the V1 and V2 together in parallel? Can this work?
Is so what are we the cons of this.
I really don’t want to have to buy 2 V2’s and have no use for the V1!
Any info or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

Hook them up in parallel in a balanced manner any you probably won't have any issues.

A couple ways:
1) Both batteries to bus bars with similar length cables.
2) Batteries connected + to +, - to -. Load/charge cables connected one to each battery (not charging or drawing from one "end" of the pair).

Hi, everybody! I'm a retired EE. I didn't want my EE skills to fade away after retirment, so I exercise them when I can. Whenever I see a non-trivial circuit analysis problem on one of various forums I frequent, I challenge myself to solve it. Recently I watched Will's video about current sharing in a parallel battery string, and it occurred to me that the string is just a circuit. It could be solved using standard circuit analysis techniques giving theoretical values for the battery currents. I wondered if this has been done before and posted on the web. I found a link on this forum...

Epoch has gone to the bottom of the list, see wills latest video.
I'm experiencing the same issues as will.

My battery has been successfully unbricked if that means anything.
I still think there's better options.
