New here with EVE 280. I am in a rush to put 4 EVE 280 Cells in service without BMS. It seems like everywhere is out of stock for 4S BMS due to a rush of 275a/280a orders by everyone here.

I will top balance the 4 cells to 3.65v in parallel and then series them. Plan to hook it up to a 12V @ 2000 Watts inverter without a BMS. The inverter is Magnum 2012 with programable cutoff voltages and over voltage protections. I plan to use it for house loads ranges continuously from 1200W to 1700W Max for less than 30 mins during a planned power outage.

Do you think it is safe to do so without harming the EVE 280 cells? The current draw will be 150amp MAX at 12v.

Could also do 8S for 24V too with the Magnum 4024 @ 24V/4000W inverter. Also programmable for low voltage cutoff and etc.

But not sure if the battery will be harmed or not or out of balance with the 30 mins load at 150amp at 12V or 24v @ 75amp.

Thanks.

The inverter can draw down a cell to zero in very little time. That cell can then fail when charging, and dump electrolyte all over the room...
don’t ask me how I know.
Wait for a BMS...
