Good Morning Everyone.

One of my anticipated hurdles in the build of my marine bank is the tendency of the Eve cells connections to strip upon assembly. Here is my plan for assembly. Comments appreciated

I am going to use Loctite Threadlocker 272 to install 20mm studs into batteries. Tighten by hand and back off a ¼ turn at end
Use busbars supplied with batteries and roughen up both terminal and busbar with wire brush

Apply GB Gardner Bender OX-100B Ox-Gard Anti-Oxidant Compound to both surfaces

Use Belleville Washers and stainless steel nuts to attach busbars, Torque to 4nm

Use nylon locknuts on top of these to attach BMS

From my understanding of connectivity issues surface preparation is a lot more important than torque strength. Interesting to hear from others on this topic

Mine are running cool at 20 inch pounds. That is a little less than 4nm. Although I think the 4nm is the agreed consensus.

Studs will up the max torque you can apply, but something with decent torque settings works - I used the screws with a milwaukee drill with torque settings. Worked fine.

The Eve cells I bought come with M6 studs welded into them.
