Hi guys.
Need some advice on the following system: Growatt Inverter MIN3600TL-X and Canadian Solar 655W panels.

Growatt specs:
Max. input current per MPP tracker: 12.5A
Max. short-circuit current per MPP tracker: 16A
Max. output current: 16A

PV system: 6 x 655W panels in series
Short Circuit Current (Isc) : 18.43 A
Opt. Operating Current : 17.2 A

Is it safe to exceed inverter input current? If not what would be the alternative, considering the inverter must be grid-tie and they are all around 12.5 A per input?
If safe, would there be a huge loss in performance?
I have attached some files with specs.
Thank you

Per growatt you should never exceed inverter specs, I had to add more charge controllers.

What would be the benefit to add charge controllers on the grid-tie system and how to do it?
For me that was the only option so I could use all of my panels. If you have batteries then you get the benefit of extra charge.
