Hello, I wanted to take the opportunity to tell you about my experiences when buying cells from ALIBABA.

I chose these EVE 230 AH cells from Dongguan Lightning New Energy Technology. I had a very nice and competent contact named James Mo.
He replies very quickly, somehow I get the impression he never sleeps.
It's these cells.
As a price including Paypal fee. Customs and shipping was quoted to me as 1640 euros. I paid on April 27, 2022 and the cells arrived on June 10, 2022.
It was planned that the cells would be delivered by ship via Poland. But since the ports were overloaded, they came to me by train via Kazakhstan and Poland. In the end it was delivered by UPS
The 4 boxes were largely undamaged and the cells well packed. This is probably also due to the fact that they were delivered to Poland in a container, since they have a warehouse there.

The internal resistances and the voltages of the cells are close together for me as a layman.
The QR codes are also not manipulated and can be decoded using the tool.
I have tested 6 of the 16 cells so far, that is, fully charged with an ebc-a20 tester to 3.6 volts and up to 0.5A charging current and then discharged to 2.5 volts. The 6 cells then had a capacity of 228.8 AH to 230.8 AH. That looks good to me. I think they would all have over 230 AH if I had up to 3.65V and a minimum charging current, for example. would have charged 0.2A.
I am fully satisfied and can only recommend Dongguan Lightning New Energy Technology.
happy sunday
mike

Those cells were made in August 2020 and are definitely not grade A cells like they claim. You need to do capacity test and not rely on the voltage.

I did and wrote a capacity test. 6 cells tested have between 228.8 and 230.8 AH

I got 8 x 280Ah from them last November and they looked good. DId not do a capa test though.

I have 64 ea from Hayley at Donguan Lightning. I have one cell that is a runner. They capacity tested 280-282aH and I'm happy with them. You can't charge to 58.4V on a 16S, but why would you want to anyway. I charge to 55.5 absorb, 53.5V float. They are doing well, 6 months off grid.

Do you have a watt-hour test on the cells, It would be nice if you can post both so we can compare. Some of my Luyuan Cells don't pull full AH but they do pull full WH (278AH vs 899WH) im just curious to see what others are getting.

No. That was last year and I didn't write those numbers down.
