Feature request - keyword search thread feed

It would be great if there was a news feed feature... like if I put a keyword feed for 'schneider 6848' and any posts to a thread would be in the feed. Make it easy to miss something.

If it already exists I haven't figured it out and I've looked?

Shrug, I can use search for the site like that, was interested in more of a RSS feed based on keywords..

I bet there is a plugin for the forum software unless I am just two old school

RSS feeds are a bad idea on high volume sites.

I never needed to run them myself, but I use them from the nzb server to my media server.

Is it the CPU clicks required to run them and index messages?

No its the brick wall the server runs into trying to feed traffic to others.

We already overload some of microsoft's servers with updates where people subscribe to the threads for notifications. We don't need another feed for the server to have to get back logged with trying to feed slower services.

Also another xml pile for it to put data into for someone to log into directly doesn't make much sense since they can look at the site itself.

Its overloading microsoft's push notification service servers at times.

Ah, I get it... but with keywords it wouldn't actually have more than a few a day... I suppose if someone used to wide a search term it would cause problems.
