Is there a good calculation for figuring Ah in series, when you are designing a new battery bank?

Ex: I am looking at 2 different battery banks.
1) use 2-12v/200ah
2) use 4-6v/100ah

how do I figure which bank will offer the most usable power for my system?

the remaining system will be approximately 1300 watts (to start) and an 80amp “all in one” inver

Batteries are connected in series, correct? Lead acid, correct?
1) use 2-12v/200ah = 24V 200Ah Battery bank = 4800WHr = 2400Whr DoD to 50%
2) use 4-6v/100ah = 24V 100Ah Battery bank = 2400WHr = 1200WHr DoD of 50%

Batteries in Series add voltage. Batteries in Parallel add capacity.
- 12V/200AH X2 in series = 24V/200AH (as shown above)
- 12V/200AH X2 in parallel = 12V/400AH

Thank you very much

Thanks a lot Steve! That easy to remember!
