Finally found a LiFePO4 BMS with Low-temp Charging Protection

My preference is to avoid putting BMS in series.
I agree, particularly if you don't know the max string voltage the BMS can handle. The diagram below shows what happens when one of the BMSs turns off. Note that the series voltage of all of the cells appears across the FETs of that BMS (Not just the voltage of the cells the BMS is managing). If they are not designed to handle it... they will burn out.

Most (all?) of the drop in LiFePO4 batteries have a specification for how many of the batteries can be put in series due to this issue.
Many of the FET based BMSs we discuss on this forum do not have a max voltage spec so we don't know what they can handle and putting them in series is taking a chance.
