Hi all,
Does anyone know of a UK based company that provide fixings for mounting panels to shingle a roof, or can you recommend a method of sealing you have used yourself that has successfully prevented any water ingress?
I've seen a few different kinds of solutions from the US such as a raised aluminium flashing that slides under the shingles, or the Quickbolt reinforced epdm "microflashing" gasket types but nothing appears to be available in the UK...
I'm wondering whether to make my own flashings out of aluminium sheet, perhaps using an arbour press to create a raised flange for an epdm gasket to fit into, but if an elegant and affordable solution already exists, I'd rather use that...
