Ok I've got my Battery side 12V 3000W Inverter 900Ah Solar Generator System up and running. Will eventually post on this forum, but need time to put the parts list together. Anyways. I am looking for anyone who has done a Ground Mount in the State of Florida and who is willing to share their application and documentation for getting their permit (of course redact your name and any Identifying info). As of right now all I can get my hands on are permits for roof mounted systems and I was instructed to use the same paperwork for my ground mount, which makes no sense. so if you do have a ground mount in Florida can you please help me out.

I’m in Central Florida and finished my ground mount install end of last year. The AHJ will require construction documents that are designed for the wind speed at your location and sealed by a Florida registered engineer. I used Iron Ridge. You can get Florida building code online for free to find your wind load(AHJ may have on their website). Determine which panels you are going to use. Set up account on Iron Ridge, design your plans with chosen panels. Iron Ridge can even help with engineering stamp. Take stamped construction documents to building department, fill out permit application, pay fee, wait for review, get permit. Get to work.

I've done that in the past, all the permit folks need is a plan that has a Florida PE wet stamp seal, now how you create those plans can be a challenge, the railing part is easy, its what the railing mount to different for every installation as its basically dead weight that can resist 140+ mph winds.

Greenlancer provides engineering service and stamping in all US states and used them in the past.

Actually set an account with them, though they did say my array is to small less than 60 sqft, they will try t see what they can do. Going to call Tamarack on Monday as they have a single pole mount that is rated for 150mph winds using 4" vertical and 3" horizonal SCH- 80 with the verticals having concrete in the center. Plus if you had a rebar in the center if the pipe it raises it to 160 mph. UNI-PGRM/2P1-47. Pipe will cost $819 including shipping and product is $326, suck big time, if only I could have used SCH-40 I had someone who was going to give them to me at no cost
