DIY Solar Retractable Design

Guys, I think this idea has huge potential, especially for the DIYer with little or no space for permanent solar aka no permits. This could be very useful for driveways and spaces where you would need the use of the land. What do you think?

I think they will shade each other if not fully extended

As a DIYer who has had a couple of non-permanent setups, i would still be looking at cost effectively DIYing my own arrays.

I can remember a conversation where someone considered selling bottled water. They decided against it thinking it would never work. The light bulb went through many trials and errors before it worked.

Sometimes a prototype can shed light so to speak on positives and negatives. If people didn’t take a chance we wouldn’t have many of the things we are accustomed to today. Yes there were failures. But there were also success stories.

That’s a lot of leverage out there.

Will not be cheap to engineer that for vertical and rotational forces.
