looking to get 16 or 32 batterys for 48 volt system. what bms to use? 100-200 amp draw on batterys.

I am using 4 of these
The $79.24 one with the LCD's

16S4P

You do not need the lcd screen at all, but it is fun to look at. The bluetooth has every setting you need.

set up as 2p16s do I need just 1 bms perhaps the 300amp one
Yes 1 will work fine on any battery where you P first.

In my 48V setup, the max load I have ever been able to pull is ~94 amps. I am usually somewhere around 25.

You just cannot monitor every cell individually.

Since these are new, it is not really that big of a deal anyway.

Where do you plan on having them when in use?

in a heated pole building, never gets below 50 degrees. have 85 25watt led lights on load now. pulling 26 amps 2000watts on mpp lv5048 inverter. 240 split phase. 1200watts on one side 800 on the other side of 240volt.

I use the lv5048 also.

16 cells = 48v 100ah, that should be plenty enough for your load to run 6 to 10 hours no problem.

Being inside a heated, fixed location, these new cells are going to last a very long time.

I have 64 used cells. I can get 24+ hours no problem.

jason73 I have read every post you put up great setup. here in northern wi. I get 5-8days no sun. I will start with 16 cells and upgrade to 32 later. will the choice bms and shunt from electric car parts company work?
