Future of DIY LiFePO4 looks bleak…

I have been using rept for 1.5 years they are excellent those $77.00/cell delivered are nice but then its Docan so its gamble. In my book rept is as good as eve.

So be careful, Docan have the rept 280Ah back in US stock at a low $65 but this isn't the same grade as the last batch, note they've added their usual disclaimer for non EV cells in the listing:

"ESS battery cells are for solar energy storage and not for EV use. They perform well in home solar systems but may not include the original QR code. All cells are new and unused"

For that price I don't think I can resist. My scratched QR 305AH Envision cells have been performing flawlessly, the last set of REPT are too.

These are also tempting me, higher cost and old stock but still temping. 18.4KWh 48V and a 2.3KWh 12V pack for $2160. https://batteryhookup.com/products/new-crate-36x-calb-3-2v-180ah-lifepo4-prismatic-ca180fi I could drive to pick them up and only have to stop and charge once or spend ~$250 on freight.

Nope! I bought some off the shelf batteries. Fast forward 2 years, I ripped them apart and put in a propper BMS.
Almost DIY lol

Pricing isn't likely to be what's going to end the party. I would think it's going to be the regulations combined with local/state government tomfoolery.

You need to start a chat with Amy to get a accurate quote, I am not sure on current shipping costs but I had three orders with about $900.00 shipping on each.

The Alibaba shipping estimator is terrible. As said above, put in a request for quote to Amy and tell her you want DDP (covers the customs fees).
