I have odd-ball GroWatt SPF 5000ES Units sold back in 2022 by Signature Solar. They are not the European version, there are some differences. I think this was the SPF 5000US before they changed the name.
Model Number:
P/N: SKSL00.0008002
Example Serial Number:
S/N: YRE7BH201Y D0 2
S/N: YRE7BH70EM D0 2
S/N: YRE7BM70M0 D0 2
Firmware as shipped:
40 05 701
41 05 701
I have found FW releases 06 and 07. I am nervous about pushing a version that will revert any tom-jenkery the unit originally saw. I can post Motherboard PN's etc... Unless someone else has already done it and not borked.
The bugs I am seeing are pretty bad. Running 3 in parallel:
* AC output frequency keeps reverting to 50hz from 60hz
* SBU does not reliably switch off of battery to Utility at setting 12 voltage
* Sometimes without power cycle Master Unit will change
* In the past I have seen battery current false report 32A high, battery voltage false report 10V high, endless code 8 (That was with incorrect fans tho)
Disclaimer - my units are WORKED - they have had MPPT IGBT's swapped, fans swapped, All IGBT's on motherboard sapped, multiple teardowns, heavy dust, condensing moisture, shock, vibration, endless BMS LVC hard-opens under load, etc.
thanks,
