Generator use with Solar Setup

GE all. Well the Winter Solstice and a few trees are wreaking havoc at the farm.. For a little while I'll need to bolster the charging power of our PV with our Honda generator. My question is, do I need to disconnect the PV input and then use the generator OR can I just leave the PV input to the MPPT and connect the generator to the batteries. (800 watts, MPPT, 2 100 AH LiFePo4 batteries, & a battery charger specifically made for LiFePo). TIA & HNY

You can charge the batteries from multiple sources at the same time. PV->ChargeController->Battery while simultaneously doing Generator->Charger->Battery is a common practice

The only concern is that all of the combined charge sources (amps) shouldn't exceed the expected charge amps of the battery bank.

Thanks for the input. Augmented the PV input yesterday! Worked great. Max charging input for batteries is 50 amps. Charger input 20 & PV input 11 amp. 100% charged! Thanks again!
