Get ready for the Price increase

And what does the "ultimate Power grab" involve?

Exactly what Sanwizard said. On top of that, higher taxes, more regulations, lower income for those who work hard, wealth redistribution, government controlled healthcare (not a good idea - look at social security that will run dry in 13 years).

Basically a massive move towards socialism with a hint of communism. None of these systems work (well) in the long run. Nothing will be about you as individuum anymore, everything will be about the collective. I have seen it first hand, lived in it for for over 3 decades.

I used to pay $10 per gallon for gas, 51% income tax, 19% sales tax. I paid 74% direct and indirect taxes on my income. Worked my ass off and only could afford a small apartment and a 15 year old used car.

I hate seeing America going into the same direction. Voters need to wake up before its too late.

You have the right last name to get this fixed. Joseph McCarthy was way ahead of his time, and he was right over the target. We need another communist purge, or we will end up in another civil war, or worse, just taken over.
It's getting biblical. Perhaps this is all pre-ordained?
In any event, I will have solar power to get through! I love all the intelligent discourse on this forum.

Unfortunately, lazy folks are the majority and love wealth redistribution.

"............. everything will be about the collective." meaning whatever we do here will be confiscated for collective purposes :(

I don't believe this. The majority of people are slugging it out day to day to survive. There are plenty of lazy people but they are not the majority...

They are not the majority, yet, but the numbers are increasing, and they tipped the needle to the left last year.

Just look at the younger generations. Many are living their lives online, in computer games, YouTube videos, on smart phones, and in social media. Many don't even want to own a car anymore, let alone know how to change the oil. Covid created even more people wanting to stay at home. It comes at no surprised when you get unemployment money and stimulus money for a while.

Those who don't want to work, vote for their enablers.

exactly.

One party control. Fewer freedoms
I think people in NY would say the same thing about Texas. I guess it all depends on what you define as less freedom, if it revolves around carrying Guns then, Yes NY.
less privacy. Kinda like living in NY.
I seem to remember all of the invasive wire tapping and gathering of peoples data started after 9/11 when Bush enacted the Patriot Act, created Home Land Security and enacted FISA which basically gave big companies legal protection for collecting and sharing peoples private data with the government.

The same McCarthy who believed that everyone who disagreed with him was a communist? The guy who loved to quote passages from "Mein Kampf" and said Hitlers had the right idea? The same McCarthy who made it very clear that he hated Jewish people and also tried to save convicted German SS soldiers from being executed?

When you dig for dirt to fit your narrative, you will always find some. And if it doesn't stick, you just keep throwing more at the wall.

More like digging up inconvenient facts!

I do agree with you on the Younger generation. Most of them are very smart, a heck of a lot smarter than I was at their age. Unfortunately their parents have coddled them to the point where they have zero motivation to be independent.

I do not agree with the intelligence part of your statement... Why? we all grew up and learned in our environments... how many of them learned to do trigonometry simply to see how high their testes rockets flew? Monkey see monkey do... anybody can learn how to deal with the computer shit... ask my buddy who is 85 and runs circles around me...he will tell you its because he is bored cannot get out and found an outlet. weather that be a power outlet, and internet plugin or a bottle of jergens is something you need to ask him.

When I use that saying, I replace it with words that start with D and R.

How old are you? Just would like to see if there is any bias.

I run a day trading chat room. Many guys are in their 20s. Many of them have the attention span of a TikTok video and expect to make profits within a few weeks, when in reality it takes at least 3 years, and only 1.4% get to that point. When I suggest related books on trading psychology, NOBODY is willing to read them.
