Just ordered all my parts today from Signature Solar.
This is for my home Hybrid System. Still getting the 1 for 1 net metering here in south florida.

Also got the permitting back from the company that did this for me.
I'll be submitting the permits this week.

Can someone who knows electric look at this and tell me if it all looks good, anything I need to change or a fatal flaw?
In case it makes a difference, everything is installed right behind the meter inside the garage.

And one more question, I find different answers and maybe the inspector will tell me this. How far away does the GridBoss have to be from the main panel (horizontally)

I'm so excited to finally get to this point.
I'm sure I'll have plenty of questions once I start the install.

Thanks for any help

David

One thing I see is the #6 from the inverter to the grid boss. The output is rated 66.7 amps. Unless the breaker in the grid boss is rated 90° C (not sure on the brand, but everything I have ever installed is 75° C), then it's too small. #6 is good for 65 amps at 75°, so it should be #4 awg, which also means 1" EMT.

After looking again it looks like you are calling for #1 AWG for a 200 amp service? That ain't gonna work. That needs to be 4/0 Aluminum or 2/0 Cu minimum, and you'll need 2" EMT.

The grounding is also interesting. The grounding electrode conductor for 200A needs to be #4 unless you are only going to ground rods. From the grid boss to the main panel you need 4 wires, call it 4/0 for l1, l2 and N, and a #6 equipment grounding conductor. You need separate neutral and ground bars, and if it's an existing panel the bonding screw in the neutral bar needs to be removed.

The way they drew the panels is weird, but it seems to show 2 strings of 12 panels as far as I can, but again, it looks weird.

As far as distance between the grid boss and main panel goes, it doesn't matter, there is no minimum or maximum distance. Just make sure there is enough space for taking covers on and off.

I'll take another look in the morning when I'm less bleary eyed with sleep.

Thank you,
I plan to use a 6x6 wireway on top of the batteries and bellow inverter and gridboss.
It shouldn't be an issue to run any size wire between them.
I submitted the paperwork to the permitting department for review and they say it will take 5-7 days. Let's see what they come up with.

I also got the email from signature solar that they will have the shipping info by the end of this week.

The PV wire needs to be in metal conduit once it gets to the structure; certainly before it enters.

They got the data on the Flexboss all wrong, but maybe it won’t matter.

Is this for a building inspector permit, or for power company? If for building inspector they prolly will want more detail on the panel mounting, safety switches, etc.

Some good news.
I submitted it to the building department for permits.
It was denied and changes needed to be made. Mainly the 200amp fuse inside the gridboss, some code changes to florida codes, something about wind loads. Stuff I don't understand much about anyways :)
I send it to the permit company I'm working with, they made the changes and I submitted it again.
Today I got the news. It is approved. There are 5 inspections while installing the system.
The other good news is that all my parts are scheduled to be delivered by fedex tomorrow before noon.
I also need to go to the city tomorrow and have a notice of commencement recorded,
Now I have to watch a lot more youtube videos and clime on to the roof.

got my parts today.
Bad news, I'm leaving for a trip and can't start installing anything within the next 3-4 weeks.
Oh well, I waited long enough and gives me more time to watch more youtube videos.
I'll start a new thread, once I'm ready.
