Goal Zero Yeti 400 inverter upgrade

Hi all,
Looking to see if anyone has has any luck / misfortune with their yeti 400 inverter board going awol. Seen some YouTube videos where they have substituted the invertor board for an aftermarket unit that has similar dimensions to fit behind the GZ alu heat sink. Also seen some owners use the Anderson connections to run either a 200/1000 unit as an outside the unit replacement for the blown board. Anyone had similar

To add to this I know the 300/600w internal unit is sized for the 400wh battery and a larger unit will deplete sooner, for me it’s bridging the gap between 400/1250 and will run with two additional 400wh cells via Anderson
