I want to setup a solar charging station for my golf cart. It runs off of 51.2v, 90Ah Lifepo4 batteries.
I have purchased four 100W panels and a victron mppt 100/15 charger.
At first I was thinking I would mount the panels to the roof of the golf cart, but we drive the thing on the road and I think that kind of weight on the roof is a bad idea. So now I’m thinking that a charge station would be a better option. From what I understand, it is best to leave the victron charger plugged into the batteries and disconnect the solar panels from the charger when I want to drive somewhere?
