Good review on supplier.

All done with another battery build for a customer with the catl 280 from amy zheng. Capacity test was 285 on this set. This battery supplier is selling good batteries. Happy I found them..

What charger do you use to charge your cells initially and back to peak following the capacity test?

To top ballance I hook up bms and charge with a 20 amp watte charger for lithium and then top ballace with a dc 10amp power supply box. Then do capacity test after done charge back up with 20 amp watte charger.

While I know it would take longer, could I get by using the 10 amp power supply to do all of the charging?

I am considering ordering the 304's. 16 shipped to my door is about $2400. Seems like a good price at this point. The "Michael" prices from February are long gone I think. Anyone else get some from her?
Not a bad price.

I'm assuming your talking about the one that you can adjust the voltage on that is used for top balancing. If so yes you can. I would have a bms installed if charging at 14.6v

I prefer JBD. The 100 and 120a are the most popular, but I currently use two of the 150a models that are the size of a loaf of bread.

A few US based sellers carry JBD and Daly, but most of them don't have a decent selection. It would be cool if you had a 12, 24, 36, and 48v option.

The new design is smaller. It's also easier to hook up with the threaded ports. The 100 and 150 look the same. I have only got the 100 4s and 150 4s.. both are the same size. This is the 150 attached to battery

Absolutely do consider a BMS essential and would only do a 4 cell initial parallel charge if I needed to wait for a BMS. Thank you for your time and information.

Just opened and checked all 8 boxes of 2 and look awesome. 2 hour drive home now. To avoid credit card fee and or dirtbag paypoop and your picking up in Houston tell Amy pickup with cash. Save 68 dollar paypoop fee, joe.
How much time was required from your order to pick up?

Regarding BMSes,
I think most people are buying cells in multiples of 4, therefor I suggest you import 1 or 2 models for each bank variant (4S, 8S, 16S).

In my opinion, you should concentrate on models capable of 0.5C of you average battery size.
Assuming you sell mostly 280AH-304AH you should import BMS in the 140A-152A range.
I think new smaller and enclosed model of JBD Smart BMS 150A with Bluetooth (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002338673024.html?) will be optimal.
Also newer 200A with built-in balancer (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002958135242.html) and handy cable leads looks good.

Regarding cells purchase,
I am looking at http://www.powerwholesale.net/usa-d...4v-48v-320ah-storage-battery-bank-p-3882.html. The description is confusing, are EVE 304 or CATL 304?

Also the website (http://www.powerwholesale.net) won't allow placing orders and HTTPS (encryption) is not enabled.
How exactly the transaction is done after the details are discussed over email? Where the payment goes? Do you provide PayPal invoice or similar?

Thanks.

The Chinese fall holiday I think started today. So we probably won't hear from Amy for a week or so. I'm pretty sure she'll email you an invoice once she's back to work.

Thank you, Its okay I can work any time at home. Just response maybe delayed few hours during the holidays, any questions welcome to contact me

Oh, no worries.
I am yet to contact you but I am planning to in the future
Just doing my research.

I hope you have a wonderful holiday!

JBD-SP04S020-L4S-120A-B-U-K

This is the 12V BMS that I have been using for my 4S LiFePO4 battery builds. The 8S version is what I will use for my upcoming 24V build.

The reason I am using it is that it has:
Safety Disconnect: PackOverAmp, PackOverVolt, PackUnderVolt, CellOverVolt, CellUnderVolt, PackOverTemp, PackUnderTemp

And I learned about it through this forum :)

It has worked really good for me and the UART serial data port is a very big value point to me.

I recently disassemble one of these JBD 120A BMS and take photo of inside for investigate learn science :)

Here are links to the photos:

hope this might be of some assistance, thank you for your time

Ok here's an update on my purchase of (8) 280ah cells from Amy Zheng.

Amy was very responsive to email and answered all of my questions satisfactorily.

I made payment via Paypal last Friday (9/24) for $1235 total. Cells were shipped on Tuesday from Houston, TX and I received them in Tampa, FL on Thursday (9/30). Cells were packaged well and all appear to be in excellent condition. All cells tested at 3.29-3.3v.

I will now start the process of top balancing followed by a capacity test of each cell. This will take some time...

Overall very happy with the transaction so far. Thank you @Amy Zheng !

Excuse my ignorance but what are EVE cells and what are CATL cells? What are the differences?
