I also have a goodwe GM 120 meter. I am building a solar EV charging system, I also want it to power some things in the house while the sun is shining. (The house was separately wired for a 120 generator. I will connect the inverter to that wiring. I screwed up and got a grid tie inverter. There is not a problem with giving the inverter 240v to get it to work. I do not want anything in the house or the ev charger to run off the grid. I could only charge the EV while the sun is shining and put a timer on the space heaters I will use in the house. I could also wire up a 240 contactor that will close when the voltage from the panels reach a certain point. Also open when the inverter voltage drops.
