Got Tractor?

as a kid in indiana in the 80's, we had two Allis Chalmers. an XT 190 gasser and an XT190 III which was a diesel. these days I dream of a small kubota of Shibaura, but do not have enough land to justify in any way shape or form... guess its the walk behind for me.

What is GTG ??
Get Together... IE you call all of your chainsaw buddies, or Ford PSD buddies, DIY solar friends, whatever group you hang in and roast a pig.. a cow.. a spare deer. Or if you live in a socialist hellhole the two dogs you have been grooming... (just kidding about the dogs). IE you have fun with life a little.

Our neighbors are set up very well for the party atmosphere so we just go there. In the summer, the GTG's are almost every weekend in the evenings. Five to ten people, and their big parties can be up over 100. They're wonderful neighbors, and they're big partying types who are well equipped for hosting GTG's.

My place looks more like an industrial fabrication shop married a farm.

I would love to get a Nuffield 10/60 like we used to have on the farm in the UK but I don't think there's many of them in the USA at all. That thing was an absolute rocket with its Perkins engine and 10 speed box. It would start on the absolute coldest of days as long as the battery could actually move the engine even a single rotation and emitted a beautiful gray clag when she was working hard... Sounded pretty darn good too but the brakes and steering were absolutely atrocious LOL.
The David Brown 880 3 cylinder would not start if the temperature was below 60°, you could set fire to it in the winter and it still wouldn't start, even with a gallon of ether.

So… when is the invite going out?

So… when is the invite going out?

I've been considering inviting a bunch of potential serial killers from the internet over for a party...... and upon more consideration, I decided that it would be a great idea.

We decided to have one of those black light glow in the dark parties so be sure to wear your best fluorescent clothing..

The address is:
5998 Enrico Fermi Dr #5796, Newport, MI 48166

Remember…

We psychopathic killers all look like everybody else… boo!

Bought my 2013 4x4 CaseInternational 95U a month after we bought our 81 acres. Love the AC & heat in the sealed cab.
- Last year of non-DEF, started to 95hp from 105hp, tested at 87 pto hp
- It's a bit big sometimes but better than too small. My neighbor has a 75 hp skidsteer that we trade out on
- 5,800 3pt lift with 24" lift height
- 4,500 loader (12' max height with lower weight), ELO but have skidsteer QD adapter... best of both worlds as I can use just about any attachment
- 48" HD pallet forks that I use for everything
- 8' adapted Genie lift basket
- 8' brush hog
- Triple rear wheel weights
Looking for a HD 9' rear blade for it

That all said... what's the point of having a farm or ranch if you can't have a tractor.

At least you didn't invite us to "South Detroit."
I put a vest on when I have to travel to Detroit... I live in the thumb, but occasionally have to travel to Detroit or through it. And when I'm forced to do that, I put on soft armor and usually some kind of ballistic barrier in the bed of the truck.

Nothing would probably ever happen.. but if its going to happen, that hell hole is where its going to happen.

Sad to hear that.

I was joking a bit about the Journey song, "Don't Stop Believin'" that mentions South Detroit. It doesn't really exist unless you count Windsor in Canada. I have a friend who hates when anybody mentions that song.

If you do end up having a party, I promise to not go psycho.
