Grid or generator into XW Pro

Hey all. My dad is in the process of getting a new home and wishes to keep power in his pole building until they set the new house.This is temporary. I have installed an XW+ in the building. What I would like to do is go into the XW+ with generator or utility from the pole box. Can you run grid power into the Generator (AC2) input on the XW? Or possibly generator into AC1 input? Im trying to use 1 cable to keep it simple for him. Also to save money on wire. Thanks for the help!

Yes. One reason to have both, or at least a manual switch, is to have different charging parameters set for each. For instance, you might not be able to pull the full 48A (80% of 60A) from the generator.
