Hi Folks,
I'm doing a fairly big rooftop grid-tied solar installation, and due to some unfortunate circumstances it looks like I may end up with a few extra panels. So I was thinking about building a small array (just 4 panels) out in our pasture near a greenhouse where there is a lot of sun. The problem is that the only link to the grid out there is a 120V outlet in the greenhouse. There's a buried cable (10 AWG) that goes about 275 feet out to the greenhouse, and I don't want to bury a 3 conductor line that far. Is there a problem with tying in this small array using a micro inverter (e.g. this one) that can output 120V? If I pump 120V into just one leg of the system, will there be a problem with unbalanced loads?
