Gridboss breaker question

I am about to install the Gridboss. I am feeding power to it from the main service panel through a subfeed block which has a 200 amp breaker on it. My question is do I add another 200 amp breaker on the Gridboss grid connection or do i wire straight to lugs on Gridboss like option 2 on the Gridboss wiring diagram. I bought an Eaton panel for the backed-up loads . It has the same part number as the one the Gridboss requires. Do i leave in the backed-up loads panel or do i use it on the grid input on the gridboss or do i need to have one in both locations.

Assuming the wires between the Main panel and the GridBOSS are sized for the full 200A, the only reason to put a breaker at the grid port of the GridBOSS is convenience. (It is easy to shut off without going to the main panel and shutting everything off) The 200A breaker in the main panel is your service disconnect and can protect the circuit so an additional breaker at the GridBOSS is not required.

The GridBOSS has a 200A breaker on its back up loads port so the backed up loads sub-panel is not required to have a main breaker. However, it is convenient to have a main breaker in the sub-panel so you can shut it of without going to the GridBOSS.
