Gridboss,flexboss21 , brightmount panel mounts, 280ah indoor battery, 16 panels up split into 3 mppts and running today for the first time , gridboss outside as a main disconnect with my 200amp main house panel as my critical load. Changed aluminum 4/0’s to copper. Changed the ground/neutral bond to the gridboss, and rewired the grounds and neutrals to their separate ways. Finally understanding the settings , which could have been explained better in the manual. That was a lot of work. And many calls to signature solar support who helped me along the way. I feel like leaving the lights on just for hahas.

I originally thoughtI’d go with a 6000 or 12000 with just an indoor battery. But at 70 I figured go for flexboss as it’s the newest and the most advanced and runs thru a 90 amp breaker which means to me faster battery backup if needed. Also 21k solar possible . Yesterday partly cloudy … about 9 kWh gathered and stored. I use an average of 15kwh / day .. all this setting stuff that’s as not clear or labeled so that I cannot intuitively understand without sig solar’s support is slowly coming around. It’s a lot of similarly labeled choices. Building dept signed off yesterday. Glad I put gridboss outside as a main disconnect and rapid shutdown. Also I was somewhat put off by the front panel lights, but now welcome as I can see if on battery(hybrid light) or charging (both green lights on) when entering the house)

Did you do an external RSD? If so what did you go with?
Gridboss has a rsd switch on the side … so rsd’s both inside and out and I will also wire one from flexboss to closer to my front entrance . This can be done easily with 24 v wire to flexboss , correct me if I’m wrong …. Solar safety stickers Also to be installed at disconnects and other spots so no one is confused if there ever was a problem
