Looking to purchase gridboss, flexboss, eg4 280 indoor battery…. It says in the flexboss manual to keep installation 15.8+ inches away from anything on all sides… however the holes from the conduit box above battery seem to line up with the flex boss bottom holes . The flex boss has a stepped out and down shape if looking from the side view. The 4 fans are in the rear with the steel holes in the front row. Will the flex boss be able to attach to the battery conduit box above the batteries as does the other inverters? Are the fans blowing up and is this enough space to allow a safe install as such ?

I’m seeing 5.9” in the user manual for flexboss

The Flexboss lines up directly to the conduit box as you thought. The Gridboss does not so you will have to make new holes in the conduit box if you want to set it on top of the box and battery the same as the inverter.

Just setup battery conduit box and flex bosses onto wall… confirming that th conduit box does line up with flexboss. !

I think the only restriction in the manual is 5.9" on the sides. I used the indoor conduit boxes that need to be assembled. The round knockouts on the top line up with the ones on the bottom of the Flexboss. The large rectangle lines up pretty will with the GridBoss, with the exception of the 2" hole for the Grid entrance. I used my manual knockout punch to "nibble" the extra metal away. It could be done with about anything, but i have heard that it's easy to pop out all of the knockouts if you vibrate the panel.
