Hello,

I've installed a separate breaker panel dedicated for my solar output in my RV. My solar power system does not connect to the original RV breaker panel. At this time, I only want solar dedicated to running a mini-split.

I've read conflicting advice about grounding. Can someone please tell me the following?

1. Do I ground my solar breaker panel to the RV chassis?

2. Do I bond the neutral and ground wires inside this breaker panel? Or should I keep them separate?

3. Do I also connect the neutral wire in my solar breaker to the RV chassis?

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

On sub panels from the main, NEC requires the neutral and the ground NOT be bonded. Yes you can ground the RV power to the chassis

1) If the solar breaker panel is mounted on the RV then yes ground the metal housing to the chassis.

2) No. Neutral and ground remain separate.

3) No. Neutral stays isolated from the RV chassis.
