Growatt MIN series with EG4 Gridboss

I've had a Growatt MIN11400-TL-XH-US for 15 months. Sold by signature solar December 2023. Unfortunately they shipped a V2, but they are correcting. 12 kW on the roof and two legacy Enphase strings.
My original play was to get replacement and the SYN-200 with LG battery for whole home backup. Was looking to utilize the Growatt AC couple option. Check Fig 1.4 in documentation attached. Called Growatt to check. Unfortunately the MIN11400/SYN-200 combo does NOT allow you to have any solar panels on the MIN11400 inverter when configured for AC coupling. Really dumb design.

Looking at other options.

Flexboss 21 and Gridboss look great, but $6,000 plus taxes hard to swallow.

Another option that looks more attractive is a Gridboss/MIN11400 combo. Would this work? MIN and Enphase strings connected to AC Coupled smart ports. Could also connect Generator. Nothing connected to the Hybrid inverter ports. Big question is what happens when the grid goes down!

Spoke to Growatt and they say OK. Need to do some further checking though.
Talked to Pierre at signature solar. Says when the grid is on, it will work. But when grid id down, neither AC coupled ports or generator will work unless an EG4 hybrid inverter is connected.
Bummer!!
