Hello guys,

I am looking for buying an inverter but I don't know what to choose between the mentioned inverters:
Growatt SPF 5000ES: https://www.ginverter.com/Off-Grid-Storage-Inverters/44-625.html
or
New Easun SV IV 5.6Kw, probably same as Voltronic Axpert VM IV: https://voltronicpower.com/en-US/Product/Detail/Axpert-VM-IV

The price shipped to Romania is almost the same, Growatt is a bit more expensive by 50 eur. I don't plan to feed energy to the grid so the On Grid option does not matter for me. I have a LiFePo4 48V 90A battery already prepared. I don't have the panels yet, I want to buy the parts step by step.
The 0.6Kw more power from Easun it's not a big advantage but it is there. I am looking more for a stable product over the years, good mobile/wifi/cloud communication, silence, better efficiency and lower noises.

Which one do you think would be better for my needs ?

easun is directly from china, which may cause you headaches when you need support or warrantee, plus for both hefty import tax will apply.
You can order the voltronic directy from italy :

Shipping is from Germany warehouse by DHL, 772$ the total price. They said that they usually ship the board in case there is a fault in warranty and I have to replace it.
I am talking about Easun SV IV 2021 just released, on Italian webstore it is the previous version SV III.

Easun/Voltronic is newer, maybe they fixed some of previous bugs, maybe they improved the previous versions... maybe :)
But Growatt has a better reputation, I think ...

they sell the whole lot of voltronic inverters.
just because they ship from germany, doesnt mean you dont still have to pay import tax, not to mention sending it to china if something breaks.

also easun are not bound to eu warranty rules, the guys in italy are

0 taxes, both Romania and Germany are in EU. If warranty means shipping back to China then yes, this is not good. They said that they ship a replacement board in case of a failure.

I tested the GroWatt 5000 ES. I have not tested the other brand.

So far, I am happy with the 5000 ES. It functions above 420V PV as described, it's MPPT works, its battery limits work, it tolerates burst loads, etc.

If there's any specific functionality you want tested I'd be happy to do that and post the results.

I bought mine from Signiture Solar. Not all of their information is perfectly correct... But they definitely offer more support than Alibaba (lol).

I cold called them on two occasions -> they actually answered the phone and tried to help. When it comes time to start rebuilding these things...

Troubleshooting, board swaps, firmware updates... We're going to want a centralized point of communication to get support from manufacturers.

Someone doing volume in the hundreds*

Be warned against shopping on aliexpress in the "EASUN POWER Inverter and Charger Store".
I bought an inverter ISolar SMV IV 5.6kW with a delivery guarantee from Germany in 7 days.

758.56US $ 20% OFF|Solar Power Inverter MPPT 5600W 230V 48v High PV Input 500vdc 120A MPPT Charger 100A Battery Charger Built in Wifi|Inverters & Converters| - AliExpress

Smarter Shopping, Better Living! Aliexpress.com
www.aliexpress.com

The seller asked for a 15-day delivery extension. I agreed.

After 20 days, the seller again asked for an extension of the delivery date. I declined.

I have received a DHL shipping tracking number. When verifying my DHL number, my zip code did not match the package.
In tracking DHL, the status is delivered after a few days.
However, I did not receive my parcel - the DHL number provided was not for my address!
DHL support confirmed that the package was not addressed to me!
Now, I have opened a dispute on Aliexpress but I need to agree the details with the supplier.
I ask him to cancel my order and refund my money.
This seller is pretending to check something.
Seller not to understand what my final decisions are....
All the time lazy.
Aliexpress will not help to resolve the dispute.

Waste of money!

Regards
Peter

What a nightmare.

I try to find the middle-ground between best price and best product. Something Best Value. Whenever new products are coming online, you (the customer) are the Beta Tester ... so.. for that reason I try to buy thru a Middle Man of some sort.

yea -
Maybe so I can have an american to talk to in the event of DOA or the need for replacement parts

But -
Mostly so we have a chance at pushing positive change back at the Manufacturer.

Importers and volume Manufacturers could CARE LESS about what any individual buyer says. They will however... listen to someone who is buying in some sort of volume. Like "Hey, the last 80 units blew up, my EE guy says this is why, you gotta fix it".

Anyway
I rarely purchase anything direct from overseas anymore. Too many ways to get burned.... better to let somebody else land the stuff over here, sort it out, then pay a little extra.

I... For a very long time... played the roll of "That Guy". Landing FRUCKERED up containers of stuff from China and trying to figure out how to make Lemon-aid out of Rotten Lemons. It is a tough position to be in that carries a lot of risk. I learned enough about it to avoid direct importing myself.

Oh yea
And... watch out cuz sometimes you get burned on Taxes while importing. What was formally the Board of Equalization (in California) once attacked my bank accounts, froze all my assets, racked up a bunch of bank fees, and ... emptied my bank accounts (timed to the day with what would have been my auto-deposit Federal Return) ... all because they figured I owed a 10% "Use Tax" on items I had imported under "Green" 0% incentives.... meaning... They let me import for free, then charged me 10% for consuming it in R&D.

Meh
Dont try to be an Importer unless you can afford the loss, right?

I know all the nightmare stories with Ali Express, but I've not had any major problems with buying from them (apart for the wait) @ 231 euros for the 3K 24v, apparently shipped from Italy, I'm just over the boarder in Östereich, this deal is looking pretty good to me. would any of you know if there is any Difference at all between the Powland and EAsun ?, at that price it's pretty tempting!

I was really hoping that story was going to end with something like “And then I left that hellhole state” :)

In March, I received a refund from aliexpress. I won the dispute after 2 months. I recently bought an Inverter Growatt SPF 3500 ES, so I already have a set to build an energy storage.
