I've made a bunch of different powerstations based on RYOBI batteries. This project uses the RYOBI 40V 3 -Port charger to make a configurable Powerstation using off-the-shelf components. The powerstation can still charge the batteries, but can be used to run 300/600/1500W Inverters and 30A 13.8DC devices if the power goes out. It uses blocking diodes so the 40V batteries can be hot swapped and they don't have to have the same charge level (it is always better to have all the batteries at the same charge level). The design is scalable for longer run times or larger inverters. You can use multiple chargers if you own more than one.
