Has anyone used a 100 Balance BMS from Dongguan Balanced Management Technology Co. Ltd?

100Balance is junk. Tried two of them. Waist of time and money. Using a JBD SP16S020 with the LCD and Bluetooth. Overkill App. Zero issues so far. Active Balancer I would go 4th generation Neey or Enerkey but I would wait to see if you need one or not.
Ok, thanks for the feedback. What issues did you have with them specifically?

Its been a while. first the leads were to short but I got it hooked up, then it woudlnt' balance if one cell was to low and one to high. All have to be over the threshold. So after some setting changes I thought I had it working. Then the bluetooth quit working. Got a replacement off Amz and the 2nd one was dead. Sent it back bought a JBD with LCD and was very happy. Less money and it worked. Used the Overkill app. Next time I'll buy from Overkill as Will suggest. Live is good.

never got a chance to test the 100 balance, but as far as I am concerned Neey is garbage. I bought four of those pieces of shit after watching scam master Andy's garbage videos. what a way to toss off 1000 USD.

Ok cool, thanks for those details. It's been useful.
in so far as his complaints, order the long leads, and Daly (100 BMS) claims to have fixed the software issues, i never got around to that project as the current BMS's work, and I have too many other irons int he fire at the moment.

How about Enerkey? I have a 4A that is working pretty good so far.

I've bought quite a few of the 4A Neey balancers and they worked out quite nicely. I just ordered their 10A model so hoping that one works out good as well. I never heard of the Enerkey brand but I'll check them out.

Enerkey and Neey look exactly the same. Not sure who is the main company. It seems hit and miss with much of this equipment.

4 units, 4 units failed to fire up, and I ordered directly form their website that andy pushed. f-them. thats a thousand+ dollars I could have spent on many things that do work. people bitch about the DALY gear, but guess what? there are a lot of folks who use the with no major issues. my only issue is that they do not balance for shit due to passive design, hence my desire to try the balance100's eventually i will get to setting it up and by then they will have either gotten better, or failed and closed the brand, just like everything else from china.

I agree with you about Daly. I was using a 500A Daly BMS with my 18KPV inverter for several months in lead acid mode and it worked beautifully. I then went with the JK inverter BMS and those are working good as well for the most part, but truth is I prefer the Daly hands down. Back then though I couldn't get it to communicate with the inverter. I think I will try a 100Balance BMS with their ready-made CAN/RS485 to ethernet cable for communication and see how that works. I just want to make sure that they have around 2 or so firmware updates available after the initial firmware version.

I have never tried a Daly, just 100Balance, so zero comment on Daly.

What's weird is every 100balance BMS clearly states active balance smart BMS yet no sign of it as far as features on the sales website yet they do sell a separate active balance module, maybe that's why people have said the balancing is crap because they haven't bought the additional hardware?

If I'm not mistaken I think the 100Balance BMS comes with a 1A balancer, which for a number of us DIYers may not be enough, especially for those larger capacity cells.

Hi,
I have 100balance bms 4-8S. I haven't actively used it yet. After reading here, I decided to write to their support. They asked me to send them pictures of the device and the software version. Then they sent me a code with which I was able to update the firmware through the application. I have not assembled a proper battery yet to be able to fully test it, but I am grateful to them for their quick response.

well i wired mine up last week only to have it refuse to turn on... its reminiscent of the older DALY units prior to the advent of the on switch on the BT dongle. Nothing, will not show up on the app, and pushing the BT dongle did nothing, an even trying some of the other tricks did nothing.

Just going to wire up another DALY unit and call it a day.

Stay away from the 100BMS, I went through two of them moved on ever looked back

yeah not really impressed with it. as above, I got two more daly's inbound from @kolek that he ending up not using to install. I got the 100 bms to test about two months ago and then one of the daly's that was damaged during the lightening strike about 2 years ago finally died... so i was like well its time to test that 100 bms and see if the balance function actually works.... damn thing was bricked out of the box

It was great that they were available next day on Amazon but it didn't balance like it was supposed to and then lost Bluetooth connectivity. Replaced it and I never could talk to the 2nd one. Looks like the software wasn't quite done yet.

I'm considering using a Daly/100bms or other reliable active balancer to add to a Spark EV's 3kWh battery module using an 18-pin balance service connector (Aptive 15345477 with 7.5A rated terminals) built into the OEM module and its ~8A 16S resistive top balancer.

I'm looking into active balancers because Spark EV owners are starting to throw error codes when cell balance exceeds 0.3V which shuts down their cars below ~30% SOC. An active balance would trickle charge a pair of weak cells to equalize capacity as they are discharged, mitigating the issue. Can anyone explain what's wrong with these active balancers? Why are people going through them?

I have been running the NEEY / Enerkey Smart Active Balancer 4A for over a year on a troubled rack mount and after two cycles it is perfect. I can turn it on/off via Bluetooth. Set it to start at 3.45 and off at 3.40 Others say that they have issues but zero issues for me. If you don't need one don't use one but 2 of 6 rack batteries refused to get in line and now they are all working nicely.

I have bought 4 of the 100A balance BMS to drive my 4x100Ah LifePO4 packs. They've been flawless and everything is working fine. Had to set Bluetooth not to sleep (65536 s I think) and already had 7 battery cycles on them. I can see them balancing and they keep all voltages around 0.001V difference between all cells.

I had one of the BMS communicate to the MUST 5kW Inverter, it succeded intially and I could see BMS data on the inverter but it seemed to cut communication from time to time. I'll have to thinker further about it.

Got them off AliExpress. So Far I'm quite happy with them. Will see in the long run how they live up.

I bought one to test and could not get it to work.... tell me your secrets master..... PS I have 3 of the DALY units running my packs currently so i was surprised by the one I ordered not working.

No secret there. I just followed the user manual and paid attention to wire the BMS correctly. I followed instructions from the user manual on their website : https://www.b100bms.com/download.asp#d1

To turn the BMS on you just need to plug the Red wire as per instructions. The BMS led should turn green if eveything is correctly wired. Oh and Make sure to connect NTC/ temperature probes as well. I forgot initially to connect them and the BMS led turned red until I connected the probes. Once led is green you can then use phone APP to connect to the BMS by bluetooth.

Hope it will sort things up. Good luck
