Hello, I have tried to set up a off grid system and seem to keep failing at the invertor connection. The problem is that the cable gets extremely hot and one time it even melted the fuse while using the invertor. Help? What am I doing wrong here ?

I have the follow system set up:

1. Rover series renology 40A MPPT charge controller connected to
2.solar panels of 370watt X 2 (740watt)
3. DC to AC power pure sine wave inverter of 2000W renology

I have used a 1x 150 Amp fuse connected close to the battery with a fuse box.
I have used the cable that comes with the inverter so I'm unsure on the wattage but it says 100A on the lugs.

Now the other thing that I have done is I have plugged a 15A lead from the outside of the caravan into the 10A lead that's located in the inverter to power up the lights and the caravan power sockets.

So I am not sure what I'm doing wrong but the cables keep getting way to hot and even smoke sometimes happens. As soon as the invertor beeps I turn it off but I want to figure out what to do?

Please help

Thanks

What voltage is your inverter?

2000 watts at 12 volts = 166 amps.

For the 2000W inverter ,please use a 200A fuse , now 150W is too small ,so the fuse was burn.
