I have a functioning drain down system that I have had operating since 1982-3? I have spare controller and have a spare sunspool (rebuilt some years ago) . There was a guy in San Diego (solarcon) who put in new heat expansion pods ) but I think he is dead or retired now. I's wondered if anyone knows about any repair place nowdays on this old stuff. I have a used sunspool that needs a new expansion pod. any info may help me. By the way this system works great stiull after all these years-I have it on a timer so it drains down no mater what the sensors say so it never freezes.Iyts hooked to 2 4x9 copper weater panels on roof with same taco recirculator pump that brings down the hot water into a static rheem 80 gallon tank that feeds my water heater.
