Hello, new here. In Michigan and looking to get into a new hobby, and save on my electricity bill. My plan is to start with batteries and a hybrid inverter, and eventually add solar panels. I have some family members who said they can give me some panels, but I don’t know much about them yet.

I ended up spending a lot of time searching (but not really researching 😅), and I purchased 32x LiFePO4 cells and two DIY boxes. After that, I found a post here about the Alibaba seller I bought from, and now I’m wondering if I got scammed. I guess I’ll find out in a couple of months!

Anyway, nice to meet you all! Looking forward to learning more and getting advice along the way. I'm sure you'll be hearing more from me soon.

Welcome aboard. Do you have the item listing?

Sure, the batteries were this link.
The boxes were this link.

I did speak with them over the messenger for a week or two before actually making the order. She said they were the 314ah Eve cells, and the bms is the JK-16S200A one. total with shipping/fees was $3145. She seemed pretty nice/knowledgeable, but with me being a beginner at this, I guess I wouldn't know either, lol.

Happy to see there's someone else close to the same latitude and maybe the same experience level as myself. I've dealt with a lot of electricity, but not much with solar setups. I'm hoping to run an out building completely on solar. So I'm just getting into the sun angle/ peak sun and possible over paneling thing. Good luck! Look forward to hearing about your journey!
