I've been a fan of the YouTube videos for a while. I thought it would be a good time to check the forum before purchasing four new 12v batteries for our off-grid floating cabin (we wired the cabin as if it was an RV).

Think of a tiny home that floats on a lake (no motor, stays moored). I don't have any pictures handy, but we put a set of solar panels on each side of our cabin roof (1200w total per side). Tried doing all of the work ourselves (it was a partial rebuild).

Right now, I'm in search of the best 4 battery bank that I can afford (with low temp off).

The current front runner is the Watt Cycle 280AH Mini. With a coupon, four out the door is about $1607.

it's not so much the boaters anymore, I don't think, we get a lot of trash from Jackson county down through Swain through the Tuckasegee River. Helene helped put even more trash into the lake as well.
